Watercolours are a challenging medium that call on a whole different planning and painting strategy different from oils or acrylics. I like the transparency of the colours that allows more light into the painitng. Of course in these months of covid, I continue to paint the joyful orange and blue tones that bring harmony to my paintings and speak of rebirth. I have created limited copies (10) of each of the original watercolours shown here and framed them, These can be had for a reasonable price ($50-75.) They 'present' well as copies (where prints of oils, even on canvas, lack the impasto textures and brush strokes, making them look too flat and manufactured). |
