Tangelos Tango oil 20 x 16
Michaelangelo painted the robes of Mary and the most holy in the deep utramarine blue, a pigment made from Lapis azuli stones found only in Afghanistan. He would wait years for it to arrive so he could finish a painting. I think these radiant globes of vitality deserve the same ultramarine hue Michealangelo used.

Kerikeri is growing!  Orchards and shelter belts which used to surround our town are slowly being replaced by homes. Passion fruit, kiwi, lemons, persimmons and oranges have been uprooted for more profitable crops like grapes and blueberries.  I hope my paintings help us to remember the golden days when citrus orchards graced the hills of Kerikeri.

My earlier paintings (2007-2022)  aren't on my website  anymore, but still available to interested buyers. They include local landscapes, seascapes, water lilies  and abstracts in oil, acrylic and watercolour.
