Lily Ponds made Famous by Monet

Just like Monet, I became obsessed with water lilies and the reflections in ponds when I started painting. I wanted to go to France and visit Monet's Home at Giverny! I channeled Monet, feeling the master's love of the enchanting lilies dancing on water. (Only made it to Provence for 3 weeks of plein air painting though.) Is it the love of the subject, the colours, or the artistic convesations I can have in my head with Claude Monet, as I paint?
