Lavender Fields Forever
Lavender fields are particularly special to me, since the first house I bought in New Zealand back in 2007 had a field! While I spent 4 years waiting to move to NZ to live in that house surrounded by lavender, I found Mantanza Creek Winery, near Santa Rosa in Sonoma County. I spent many days over the years going there to paint and draw their gardens of lavender. The orange umbrellas are the perfect compliment to the blue fields, alive with honeybees, and soothing, luxurious perfume. Go there in late June for the best show or buy one of my paintings to enjoy lavender fields forever.
